![]() ![]() (1) I would leave your "Freesat " box as it is on it's current dish. Anyone with a motorised Dish know if you can pick up those 2 channels?Ĩ) Could I pick up any Premiership football? Where can I get one from?Ģ) What sort of digital box would I need for that?Ĥ) What is the sort of cost of all of that?ĥ) Can I put a motorised dish on the side of my house? or does it need to be on a pole in the garden? or where else could I put it?Ħ) Am I allowed to do this, its a privately owned house of mine and I have one Freesat dish up and an ariel on the roof already?ħ)Also, if I do this, would I lose my current freesat? Although the only channels I like on freesat are CBS reality and my better half, she likes Revelation channel. If you want access to channels from other sats, bite the bullet, go motorised it may save you money in the long run.ġ) I think I might go for the motorised dish in that case. I was thirsty for more, so upgraded once again to a motorised dish. Once I had this I wanted more, so paid out for a bigger dish. The reason I mention motorised is that I did the same as you a few years back to get Astra 1 19ºe. I can't pick of any satellites further west due to my house location, but plenty to see from around half a dozen satellites. WIth mine, I have a 90cm motorised dish and Spiderbox with a satellite range of 45ºe - 1ºw. You may be after FTA channels, but you will need to pay out on upgrading the dish, espec if you are going down the motorised dish option as you will need a satellite engineer to install if you are not comfortable in doing so yourself.ĭepending on the arc of where you house is, if you get a pretty wide area I'd go for the motorised option. With your current Sky dish, the lnb bracket will not be sufficient for you to put on a monobloc (for two sats from a fixed point and dish). Also, to guarantee good reception, I'd increase the dish size if you decide upon a fixed dish to at least 60cm, and if it's not on the front of your house, go nuts and get an 80cm. ![]()
